John Sheridan has made his second signing of the day as Jack McKay has joined the Spireites on loan from Premier League side, Cardiff City.
The young forward joins Chesterfield until the end of the season, subject to receiving international clearance.
McKay, who started his career at Doncaster Rovers, had a brief loan spell at Ilkeston before joining Leeds United January 2016 with his twin brother Paul.
The 22-year-old spent two years with the Whites, including a loan spell with Scottish side Airdrieonians.
He joined Cardiff in January of last year, but the striker has failed to make any first team appearances as of yet.
McKay told the Chesterfield website: "I'm a hard-working striker and I can't wait to get started."
Like Yarney, McKay will be in line to make his debut for the Spireites at home to Brackley Town in the FA Trophy.
