Seven teams begin their league campaigns this weekend, as the EFL, National League, Northern Counties East League and Midlands Football League kick-off on Friday and Saturday.
Evo-Stik Northern Premier League teams still have time to prepare, with the Premier Division, East Division and West Division kicking-off on Saturday 18 August.
Derby begin Derbyshire's fixture list on Friday night to open the EFL calendar, as the Rams travel to Reading for Frank Lampard's first competitive game in charge of the Championship club.
The remaining six teams kicking off this weekend will play their opening fixtures on Saturday.
Most notably, Chesterfield begin their first ever National League campaign with a trip to Ebbsfleet, who finished in the play-offs last season.
New manager Martin Allen will be hoping to earn a win in his first competitive game as Chesterfield manager.
Alfreton Town will also be beginning the season under brand-new stewardship, with Billy Heath looking to make the ideal start to life as Reds boss in the National League North.
The Reds host Kidderminster Harriers at the Impact Arena in their opening fixture.
In the NCEL Premier Division, Staveley Miners Welfare also kick-off their season on home soil, welcoming Barton Town to the Inkersall Road Stadium.
The Midland Football League Premier Division is where the remaining three teams open their league campaigns.
Ilkeston Town host Stourport Swifts following their successful promotion season in Division One where they won 95 points.
Meanwhile, Long Eaton United host Sporting Khalsa, and South Normanton Athletic welcome Westfields FC to Lees Lane.
