Peterborough Sports came away 3-1 winners after two late goals secured all three points.
The Turbines opened the scoring after 12 minutes following a flicked on corner from player/manager Michael Gash that found Dan Jarvis and his strike despite a touch from True Grant in goal was powerful enough to make it 1-0.
However, they weren’t ahead for long with Buxton making it 1-1 five minutes later. In a move that started at the back, Kieran Burton unleashed Luke Brennan down the wing and his cross was laid by Ben Sault to Tommy Elliott who fired into the bottom corner.
Buxton were then on top with Diego De Girolamo having a deflected shot go wide and Connor Kirby’s shot after a corner routine was sent over the bar.
De Girolamo was then involved once again beating two Peterborough defenders and going down in the penalty box the referee waved away any shouts of a penalty as the sides went into the break level.
The second half started slowly with lots of half chances.
Tommy Elliott pulled off a pinpoint pass to De Girolamo in the 66th minute but the forward couldn't find his feet as the Peterborough defence cleared away.
Peterborough sprung the game into action when they hit the post from a dangerous position.
They then capitalised, taking the lead in the 76th minute with Bayley McCann’s volley finding the bottom right corner for 2-1.
And despite two late chances from Ryan Viggars one of which that hit the post a through ball found substitute Max Booth who made it 3-1 to secure victory for the away side.
