Chesterfield Ladies take on local rivals Mansfield Town Ladies on Thursday evening at the One Call Stadium in a crucial East Midlands Women’s Premier Division derby game.

The Blues currently lie in second position in the East Midlands Women’s Premier Division. They sit 11 points behind league leaders Notts County Women; however, they still have three games in hand on them which means the race for the league title and automatic promotion is still well and truly alive.

The Opposition

Mansfield Town Ladies currently occupy third position in the East Midlands Women’s Premier Division and are still involved in the race for the title and automatic promotion.

The Nottinghamshire outfit come into this game in excellent form. They’ve won their last five matches in a row in all competitions and are unbeaten in their last nine league games.

In their most recent match, Mansfield Town Ladies beat Basford United Ladies 1-0 away from home in the league. In their most recent game at home, Mansfield beat Arnold Eagles Women 3-2 in the league.

Their manager is Andi Bell.

Previous Meeting

These two sides last played each other in December earlier this season at the Chesterfield Panthers Rugby Club ground in the East Midlands Women’s Premier Division.

Neither side played their best in awful weather conditions throughout the match and the game ended as a 0-0 draw.
